Experience Morialta at night time! Join the rangers in a walk to uncover the mysteries of the park in the dark. This guided walk takes you along the trail to the stunning waterfall and back, offering a rare chance to experience the park after dark. Discover the nocturnal sounds and hopefully see what animals come alive at night. What a great way to enjoy a fresh perspective on one of Adelaide‘s most loved trails.

Take a walk along First Falls Walk and find a pop-up ranger along the way. Rangers will have a variety of activities to help you learn about the animals in the park. Or just come and say hi and ask us a question. Grab the kids and come for a walk in the park!

Black Hill Conservation Park
Wildflower Garden
Join a ranger on a rugged guided walk to the Summit of Black Hill. Learn about the surrounding environment as well as some bushwalking tips to keep you safe while on the trail. Experience one of the best kept secrets in the Adelaide foothills. This is a 4.2lm loop with an elevation of 467m. It has steep unmodified sections, and creek crossings may be required. It is classified as a grade 5 hike and suitable for people with a reasonable level of fitness looking to get into hiking in our national parks.

Description
Experience the joy of learning how to create a botanical drawing. Be immersed in nature while being guided by world renowned natural history illustrator Gilbert RM Dashorst CF, to capture the beautiful surrounds of the park through drawing. Gilbert specialises in the field of botany and spent 30 years at the State Herbarium/Botanic Gardens of SA as their Scientific Illustrator. One of his best known works is the beautiful and informative book - "Plants of the Adelaide Plains and Hills".

Leap into frog life with Nature Play SA! Join the team and the rangers for a morning of nature fun and environmental learning. This is a hands-on nature experience where children and families can discover the fascinating life cycle of frogs. Paint the states from tadpole to adult, on rocks to take home. Enjoy watercolour painting inspired by nature and explore creative loose parts play. We will be set up near the creek where we may also get to hear some frogs!
