Naa marni everyone,

We are delighted to announce the launch of the 2024 Nature Festival program, running 28 Sept - 13 Oct.

For year 5 our theme is ‘Awe,’ and we invite you to rediscover the small and large moments that captivate—pulling us out of the rush of daily life, away from our screens and into contact with nature and the world all around.

With more than
400 events, encounters, and experiences across South Australiawe have plenty of options for everyone.

Altogether, we hope you find a closer connection to our vibrant community, a renewed sense of wonder in the beauty of nature, and leave with your hearts full of awe.

Encounter awe through…

Nature Festival 2024 Artist in Residence

Eleanor Noir, based out of Wittunga Botanic Garden, will create a public large-scale, crowd-sourced, drawing installation titled'Our Beating Hearts, Their Beating Wings: An Interspecies Murmuration'.

Focused on bird species loss and community resilience, Eleanor will present a kids drawing workshop that will introduce children to the local birdlife of Wittunga Botanic Garden, alongside her large-scale artwork.

Moving Mountains sculptural work

Moving Mountains will be a new large-scale sculptural work by SA artist Hari Koutlakis. Over two weekends in October, Hari will elevate two suburban playgrounds into dynamic sculptural spaces of awe and wonder. Young and old are invited to experience and explore this extraordinary transformation.

Evening Chorus with the Bowerbird Collective at Carrick Hill

Finally, join the Bowerbird Collective in the stunning grounds of Carrick Hill for the closing night of the Nature Festival with a sunset concert. Enjoy an enchanting performance by internationally renowned musicians, featuring violin, cello, and vocals, interwoven with the evening bird chorus in Carrick Hill’s beautiful gardens.
